The title for my introduction was derived from John Mulaney and Nick Kroll’s broadway show featured on Netflix about George St. Geegland and Gill Faizon which I think is hilarious and you should too.
In the subsequent posts there will be my thoughts on the Summer Institute’s assigned readings.
What am I currently reading?
- Exhalation by Ted Chiang – think Black Mirror short stories (but not always negative)
- A Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood – collaboration for Government English 12
- Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil: A Savannah Story by John Berendt – reading this with a friend from college
- War and Turpentine by Stefan Hertmans – war novel/retelling
